Jl. Halim Perdanakusuma Proposed to Be Widened

Jl. Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta, is proposed to be widened. Road widening is considered need to be done immediately since the vehicle mobility from and towards Halim Perdanakusuma Airport is increasing.

Road widening is expected to be a solution to overcome the congestion.

Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah said there was discussion between himself and Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base Commander (Danlanud), TNI First Air Commodore Fadjar Prasetyo.

"Proposal for road widening also come from Danlanud. They are ready to do Memorandum of Understanding," he said, Tuesday (3/21).

He expressed that Jl. Halim Perdanakusuma is an important access for president and state guest.

"Road widening is expected to be a solution to overcome the congestion. Moreover, there are still many vacant land on the side of the road," he added.

While, East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Head, Ahmad Juaeni Yusuf added that Jl. Halim Perdanakusuma widening proposal will be delivered to Bina Marga Dept. Because, land acquisition matter is included in department responsibility.

"As sub-dept., we don't have budget for land acquisition," he closed.
